WELCOME to my website. My intention for developing this site is to showcase my
travel photography. I have been very lucky to be able to travel to very interesting
countries and hope I will be fortunate enough to continue pursuing more far off
places. Traveling has opened my eyes to the beauty of this world, while showing
me it's realities.
Photographing people and natural landscapes are my areas of interest. While
landscapes is easy for me, It is not always easy to take a stranger's photograph.
While in Tibet I walked around for hours watching fascinating people dressed in
traditional clothes praying and meditating. In fear of possibly insulting somebody,
I decided not to ask for anybody's photograph, but then a monk asked me for my photograph. This gave me the courage to go out an get some photographs of the
locals. My strategy became simple; I just need to ask if it is alright if I take their
photograph. Very rarely do people say I can't .
In Cambodia the children constantly came to me trying to sell me bracelets and
postcards that I didn't want. Instead I would give them a dollar and they would let
me take their photograph. In fact, children all over the world seem happy to be photographed as long as I show them their picture after.
